you need to check that Lesstif or Motif 2.x is installed in a suitable place.

  • If you think that Lesstif is installed, check that the file libXm.so.1 is accessible in one of the following directories:

    /usr/local/lesstif/lib/
    /usr/X11R6/lib/
any directory in the environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH

If not, locate libXm.so.1 and set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to include that directory.

  • If you think that Motif 2.x is installed, check that the file libXm.so.2 is accessible in one of the following directories:

    /usr/X11R6/lib/
any directory in the environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH

If not, locate libXm.so.2 and set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to include that directory.

  • If you cannot find either libXm.so.1 or libXm.so.2 you will need to install Lesstif or Motif 2.x from some distribution.
