When you choose
Mail > Get New
, any mail which has been delivered to your account is moved from your incoming mail spool to your default RMAIL file. By default the mail reader looks for the mail mover program which performs this task in
/usr/local/lib/emacs/etc/movemail
. If this is not the case on your system, you can specify a different mail mover by setting
lw:*mail-mover-program*
(see *mail-mover-program*, for a full reference entry). By default, this uses the UNIX environment variable
MAIL_MOVER
as its value, if this is set, so you can also specify the location of the mail mover program by this method if you wish.
