Summary

Enlarges the size of the first static segment.

Arguments

size: The amount (in bytes) by which the static segment is to be enlarged.

Values

report: A report on the effect of the call toenlarge-static.

Description

This function can be used when the system would otherwise allocate additional static segments (These additional segments would cause the application to grow irreversibly.) Useroom, with argumentt, to find the size of the static segments, and thus the size by which to enlarge the first static segment. Size is rounded-up in multiples of 64K.
