A.1 About the Application Environment

The Application Environment runs compiled code that does not implicitly or explicitly call the Compiler. The Compiler itself is not included in the Application Environment. You cannot develop, create, or modify programs within the Application Environment.

The prebuilt Application Environment image contains the base Lisp along with the Ephemeral Garbage Collector, the Foreign Function Interface, and the Multitasking Facility. You can also load the Window Tool Kit into the Application Environment.
