5.2.2 Restrictions with SGI operating systems and processors

Due to known paging bugs, there are problems running Liquid Common Lisp on IEIX5 systems when the file system is over a network. These problems do not occur when using a local file system.

Liquid Common Lisp does not run on a SGI MIPS R4000 CPU chip with processor chip revision 2.2 and 3.0. To use Liquid Common Lisp with this hardware, you should either upgrade to a newer (R4400) CPU chip or obtain the appropriate patch from SGI.
