A character.

result

A boolean.

Description

The function whitespace-char-p is a predicate for [whitespace1], as described in the standard:

"Space and non-graphic characters that only moved the print position."

result ist if char represents white space, and nil otherwise.

If the value of *extended-spaces* is t, then U+3000 Ideographic Space is also considered whitespace.
