Set the current generation for storage allocation.

Arguments

num

The number of generation from which to do future allocation.

Values

Returns num .

Description

Set the current generation for storage allocation. By default the system allocates memory from the youngest generation (generation 0).

Examples
(set-default-generation 1)

(set-default-generation 0)
         ;; return to normal
