2.3.8 The submodules directory

Thesubmodules directory contains compiled lisp files, object files, and several font files that make up the loadable submodules of Liquid Common Lisp, for example Common-LispWorks, CLOS and Windows (the former Lucid WTK, or Windows Tool Kit).
