14.3.5 Adding menu items

To add a menu item to the current interface, click Item on the button bar. Each menu item must be added as the child of either a menu or a menu component. If added as the child of a menu component, new items have a type appropriate to that component; see Section 14.3.6 for details.

By default, new menu items are namedITEM-1,ITEM-2, and so on, and are displayed in the interface skeleton as Item-1, Item-2 and so on, as relevant. See Section 14.5 for details on how to change these default names.
