13 The Generic Function Browser

13.3 Sorting information

You can sort the items in any of the lists or graphs of the generic function browser as you can in many of the other tools in the environment.

Choose View > Sort by Name to sort items alphabetically by name. This is the default setting.

Choose View > Sort by Package to sort items alphabetically by package name.

Choose View > Sort by Method Qualifier to sort items by the CLOS qualifier of the method. This groups together before, after, and around methods.

Choose View > Unsorted to display items in the order they are defined in.

For more information on sorting items, see Section 3.9.1 on page 47.

You can also set the package of the generic function browser, and choose to hide package names in the display, using the View > Package and View > Show Package Names commands. See Section 3.7 on page 41 for full details.
