A new editor variable
editor:incremental-search-minimium-visible-lines
controls positioning of the matches during an incremental search. The value determines the minimum of visible lines between the match and the top or bottom of the window.
You can display and set the value of editor variables with the commands
Show Variable
and
Set Variable
