Enlarges the size of the first static segment in 32-bit LispWorks.
This function can be used when the system would otherwise allocate additional static segments. Such additional segments would cause the application to grow irreversibly.
is the amount (in bytes) by which the static segment is to be enlarged. It is rounded up to a multiple of 64K.
if the static segment was successfully enlarged, and
Use room, with argument
, to find the size of the static segments, and thus the size by which to enlarge the first static segment.
is implemented only in 32-bit LispWorks. It is not relevant to the Memory Management API in 64-bit implementations, where the irreversible growth problem described above does not exist.
