1.1.2 The Editor

A built-in editor is provided to allow you to develop Common Lisp code. It is based on Emacs, an editor which you may already be familiar with. As an alternative to Emacs keys, the editor offers Mac OS editor emulation.

The built-in editor offers a wide range of functions specifically designed to help you develop Common Lisp code, and it is fully integrated into the environment so that code being developed is immediately available for testing.
