10.1 Introduction

This chapter explains how to get your LispWorks Professional or Enterprise Edition up and running on Linux, x86/X64 Solaris, or FreeBSD, having already installed the files from the CD-ROM into an appropriate directory. If you have not done this, refer to Installation on Linux, Installation on x86/x64 Solaris or Installation on FreeBSD.

It is more useful to have an image customized to suit your particular environment and work needs. You can do this--setting useful pathnames, loading libraries, and so on--and then save the image to create another that will be configured as you require whenever you start it up.
