2.7 Switching between windows

In the previous sections we have introduced several of the major tools in the LispWorks IDE. You will often want to view one tool and then swiftly switch to another LispWorks window, and perhaps another. For instance many programmers edit and evaluate their source code in the Editor tool, then run a test function in the Listener, and return to the Editor to further modify their code, and so on.

The shortcut key to switch between LispWorks IDE windows on Cocoa is Command+~ . This cycles through the windows in the order they were created. To cycle through them in reverse order, use Command+Shift+~ .

Note: There are accelerator keys for most of the tools as described in Displaying tools using the keyboard.
